The Korean War 1950

Updated: Jun 20, 2018

Thank You President Trump

Thank you President Trump for requesting that our American Korean War Veterans, missing in action in the Korean War, be brought home to the USA for burial.  Many are buried in North Korea in unmarked graves, many merely dust from the bombs, but we will never forget them.  We will remember the close to 8000, by name, by unit, they served with.  This 4th-of-July, below our American flags in our patriotic parades, let us also carry the POW/MIA flag as a honor to our Korean War Veterans and Veterans of all wars still missing.  We honor you and we do not forget you, Veterans!

Veterans of America's War Stories

Chaplain David E. Pressey, Chaplain of the VFW in Ojai, California, is a Korean War Veteran, California National Guardsman, sent to the front lines in Korea. You can read the stories of all Ojai Valley's Veterans in "Ojai Valley's Veteran's Stories"...33 Veterans of America's Wars Share Their Experiences, www.VeteransStories.org.

"Unfortunately our chaplain was killed in that area about that time.  We didn't see it, but we all grieved for him because he was a real man of God and a real soldier's chaplain.  He was my Episcopalian chaplain.  He stood for Christ and right conduct, setting a fine example for the young soldiers.  He was highly respected because he was a true and faithful Christian." (p 291, David Pressey).
"Don't you forget that you're the 1st Marines! Not all of the Communists in hell can overrun you!" (Col Lewis B. "Chesty" Puller, rallying his regiment in the attack from the Chosin Reservoir, 1950 "Semper Fi" The History of the U.S.Marines 2005).
