Each year on Good Friday, the elderly residents of Los Robles Care Center in Ojai, California made their "cross of nails" to wear. It has 3 metal nails, representing our Lord Jesus' crucifixion, one in the middle for Him to hang on, and two nails on each side for piercing his hands to hold Him on the cross. The 80, 90, and 100+ year olds cherished this Easter craft each year and wore their cross of nails on a leather cord around their precious necks, our Catholics, Episcopalians, Lutherans, Methodists, Orthodox, Pentecostals, such a beautiful tribute of gratitude for His suffering and passion.
A hymn of this Good Friday season is the African-American spiritual, sung by Paul Robeson,"Were You There When They Crucified My Lord?
"Good Friday—The Passion of the Christ"
After Jesus' crucifixion, Easter Sunday arrives...stay tune!
