Couldn't let Veterans Day pass without remembering my grandfather Earl Creaser Wood, who served in WW1 running medical hospital trains from the front lines to medical hospitals in France; my dad Richard Wood, who served in WWII, uncles Jim Wood and Don Wood, who served in WWII. Also, I know my uncle Tommy Redd served and Grandfather Winslow Gooch. I’m sure he was involved but not sure of the specific tasks although I know he did help reforest Europe after the war.
The Story of Medical Hospital Trains during WW1 where Earl Wood, our grandfather served.
