At the "pinning" ceremony, John Stewart IV received a personalized certificate and an American flag pin. During the ceremony, Jim McClure, a Navy Veteran in Vietnam and Annapolis graduate, pinned an American flag on John Stewart IV. VNA Health provides an opportunity to publicly acknowledge the military service and sacrifices made by the Veterans and their families. The ceremony gives each Veteran a chance to share part of his/her story. By doing so, a sense of meaning and purpose can be gained by the Veteran. At VNA Health, “We Honor Veterans.”
