In an emotional "honorable carry" ceremony in Hawaii, U.S. Vice President Mike Pence and military leaders welcome home 55 sets of remains believed to be U.S. troops killed in the Korean War. The repatriation of the remains are part of warming diplomatic relations between the U.S. and North Korea.
On August 1, 2018, the remains of soldiers who are presumed American soldiers who were killed in the Korean War more than 60 years ago have arrived in Hawaii. U.S. Vice President Mike Pence oversaw the somber military ceremony.
