God Bless America

Updated: Nov 12, 2018

The Battle of Iwo Jima was an epic military campaign between U.S. Marines and the Imperial Army of Japan in early February 19—March 26, 1945.

As the 80, 90, 100+ year olds gathered Friday night, October 9, 2018 in the Ojai nursing home for an evening of patriotic music with Trombone Dean and flags, and emblems of the armed forces the residents could wear, a holy thankfulness filled the facility.  Many elderly residents wore the emblem for their husbands or fathers or sons who had served our country.  Many residents and staff were veterans and we thanked them for their service.  Dean Adams played "God Bless America" and we all did.
