Generations Mingle—So Much Fun!
The Ojai Valley and Ventura County are bustling with activities and events for our elderly this year, after the fires and mudslides of last December 2017. This October free pumpkins were given away from Summit School as a thank you to our firefighters, and a visit by the Topa Topa Elementary School children in costume. Great-Grandmas and sons and daughters their Great-Grandsons and Great-Granddaughters ages mingled, adored the children's costumes, and had so much fun!
"Adopt a Grandparent Program"
at Providence Ojai
Veterans Day at California Veteran's Home in Ventura found our veterans feasting on steak and lobster while Susan Huff played dinner music and patriotic songs on the keyboard. Michelle Lorenzana and her Adopt a Grandparent Program for Christmas gifts for our seniors has been a huge success at various nursing homes in the Ojai Valley and we will present a program again this year at Providence Ojai with Trombone Dean, gifts, caroling, food, and love. We'll remember and honor our Navy Veterans also on Pearl Harbor Day, December 7, 2018.
