A Tale of Strength

Updated: Mar 4, 2018

A tale of a brave young Yaqui Indian shoe shine boy left for dead after years of survival on the streets and in prison.

The most vibrant, life-filled people come into my life in senior facilities. They are my friends. Each have become my "Michangelo's" and all I can say is, "Wow." Let me introduce you to José Serrano Espinoza, author of his new book, A Tale of Strength. From personally editing to publishing, José is a man of outrageous courage and strength. What a privilege helping his dream come true!

A tale of a brave young Yaqui Indian shoe shine boy, abandoned as a baby, raised by his Grandparents, Manuel and Nana Serrano. A heart-warming story of deep family love to deep family loss. Daunting struggles of survival, brokenness, lured into alcohol, heroin, gang lifestyle to forty years in Soledad State Prison and San Quentin State Prison. Left for dead, hit by a car, losing both legs, God had other plans for him to live and not die. One day, a former Harley-Davidson biker pastor, visited him in his nursing home, prayed with him, and led him to Jesus. Now, he has a huge family, God's family, and knows He's deeply loved by Jesus Christ.
